刷毛目とは陶芸や陶磁器の表面に施される装飾文様です。
刷毛の塗り跡をそのまま生かしたダイナミックな文様です。

刷毛目は作品に深みと風合いを与えるだけでなく、美しい装飾文様としても高く評価されています。

鋳造でリアルに刷毛目跡を再現しております。
蓋にも刷毛目文様を施しております。

黒仕上げの鉄瓶は、その精悍な雰囲気が際立ちます。
黒色は洗練された印象を与え、鉄瓶により深みと重厚感を加えます。
また、黒仕上げの鉄瓶は、シンプルながらも力強い印象を与え、どんなインテリアにもマッチする魅力があります。

蓋の周囲を立ち上げることによって立体的になり、より存在感が増しモダンな雰囲気が演出されています。
伝統とモダンを上手く融合をしており、お茶を楽しむだけでなくインテリアとしても魅力的に映ります。

内側は伝統技法「釜焼き」による錆止め仕上げ。
釜焼きは鉄瓶を高温の釜に入れて焼成することで行われます。
この工程により、鉄瓶の表面に酸化皮膜が形成されます。
酸化皮膜が形成されることによって、鉄瓶の鉄分が安定化されます。
沸かしたお湯の風味が向上し、錆や腐食が防がれます。
釜焼きによる錆止め仕上げは、古来から伝わる伝統的な技法です。

外側は天然漆焼付け仕上げ。
天然漆焼付け仕上げは伝統的な製法で、鉄瓶表面に天然漆を塗布し焼成しております。
この製法により、鉄瓶の表面を保護し錆や汚れから守ります。
また、天然漆は耐久性が高く鉄瓶の風合いや色合いが長期間にわたって美しく保たれます。

弦（取っ手）を倒せます。
収納にも便利な仕様になっております。

容量は約1L。
1Lの容量を持ちながらも、それほど大きくないため使いやすさと収納のしやすさを兼ね備えています。
1Lの容量を持つ鉄瓶は、幅広い用途に対応し使い勝手が良いとされています。

Hakeme is a decorative pattern applied to the surface of ceramics.
It is a dynamic pattern that makes use of the brush marks as they are.

The hakeme marks are realistically reproduced by casting.
The lid is also decorated with a hakeme pattern.

The black finish of the tetsubin stands out for its fearless atmosphere.

The raised lid gives the tetsubin a three-dimensional appearance and a more modern atmosphere.

The inside is finished with a rust-resistant finish using the traditional 「kama-yaki」 technique.
Kamayaki is done by firing the tetsubin in a high-temperature oven.
This process forms an oxide film on the surface of the tetsubin.
The oxide film stabilizes the iron content of the tetsubin.
The flavor of boiled water is improved and rust and corrosion are prevented.
Rust-proofing by kettle firing is a traditional technique that has been handed down since ancient times.

Natural lacquer baking finish on the outside.
Natural lacquer baking finish is a traditional method of applying natural lacquer to the surface of the tetsubin and firing it.
This process protects the surface of the tetsubin from rust and stains.
Natural lacquer is also highly durable and keeps the texture and color of the tetsubin beautifully for a long period of time.

The handle can be collapsed.
It is also convenient for storage.

The capacity is approximately 1L.
Although it has a 1L capacity, it is not so large that it is easy to use and store.
Tetsubin with a 1L capacity are considered easy to use for a wide range of purposes.

●壱鋳堂の歴史

壱鋳堂は2009年に誕生した日本の工芸品の新しいブランドです。
400年を超える歴史の南部鉄器。
従来のデザインの南部鉄器を現代にマッチしたデザインにすることで、より多くの人に岩手の伝統工芸の良さを知って欲しい。
そんな思いから壱鋳堂は生まれました｡
スケッチから､原型製作まで一人のデザイナーが行なうことで､仕上がりにデザイ ナーの意図が充分に反映出来るものづくりが壱鋳堂の特徴です｡


デザイナー紹介・中村義隆氏

都市や学校などのシンボルマークを手がけるグラフィックデザイナーとして活躍する一方、自身がデザインしたティーポットがMoMA/ニューヨーク近代美術館のカフェでサービングポットに採用（2004年）されるなど、鋳鉄工芸品業界に於いて数多くのデザイン実績を持つ。

2001年：岩手県特産品コンクール　工芸・生活用品部門 金賞
